DID YOU KNOW?
- Joe made his National Hockey League debut on February 5, 1942, when the Detroit Red Wings needed a replacement for the injured Johnny Mowers. With Turner in net, the Red Wings tied the Toronto Maple Leafs, 3-3.
- On January 12, 1945, while serving with the United States Marine Corps during World War Two, Joe was killed in action in Holland.
