WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

"One-time premier backup in New Jersey wore down under heavy workload of 24 consecutive starts." (ESPN Hockey 96, p. 115)

"Has lost the No. 1 job twice in his career and seems suited as a quality backup. Good reflexes and his butterfly style foils opposing snipers down low. Very competitive. Despite his backup role he keeps himself fit and doesn't sulk. With Hackett unproven over the long haul, Terreri should see action in 25-35 games this season." (The Sports Forecaster Hockey '97-'98, p. 156)

"Back with the Devils, backing up the man that pushed him out of New Jersey his first time around with the organization. A small man. The butterfly-style netminder provides Jersey with an adequate backup goaltender at less than a million dollars a season; a perfect combination. He won't play much, although with Brodeur's last two playoff series, maybe Terreri should see some more work down the stretch to give the No. 1 guy some rest." (The Sports Forecaster 1999-2000, p. 100)

"When you have a goalie like Brodeur on your team, it's hard to get ice time. That's the predicament Terreri faces, but the 13-year veteran netminder doesn't seem to mind. Although his numbers took a dive last season, he is still capable of providing solid play between the pipes. Terreri won't mind riding the bench as long as he gets another championship ring." (The Sports Forecaster 2000-01, p. 89)

"The veteran backup was traded by the Devils to the Islanders down the stretch in 2000-01. The move killed all hope of another Stanley Cup for Terreri but did provide him with more playing time. While the 36-year-old played well on Long Island, his days of playing more than 20 games per season are long gone. However, he does know his role and acts as a solid teammate." (The Sports Forecaster 2001-02, p. 227)
