DID YOU KNOW?
- Due to Grant Fuhr's suspension to start
the 1990-91 season, the Edmonton Oilers acquired Takko primarily to back up
Bill Ranford. Unfortunately for Takko, Fuhr
came back to the club in mid-February. Faced with the prospect of being sent
down to the AHL Maine Mariners, Takko instead retired from the National Hockey
League on March 1, 1991.
