• Bill's sister, Angela Ruggiero, is one of the top defensemen in the history of women's ice hockey. On January 28, 2005, Angela suited up with Bill's Tulsa Oilers for a Central Hockey League game against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, and the pair became the first brother and sister to play professional hockey together in North America. All was well for Tulsa that night, as they won by a 7-2 margin.
