• Selected by Pittsburgh Penguins in fourth round (fifth Penguins selection, 65th overall) of National Hockey League Amateur Draft, 1976.

• Named to Ontario Major Junior Hockey League All-Star Second Team, 1975-76.

• Greg made his only National Hockey League appearance on March 19, 1978, when the Pittsburgh Penguins played the Chicago Black Hawks in Chicago. Starter Denis Herron was pulled with thirteen minutes left in the third period and Chicago leading, 6-1. Redquest allowed three goals in the remaining time.

• Greg was supposed to play for the Peterborough Petes in 1973-74, but was traded to the Hamilton Red Wings after Peterborough coach Roger Neilson caught him hitchhiking.
• Greg went to Pittsburgh's training camp in 1979, but retired in order to join his pregnant wife at home.
