• Claude had two brothers who played in the National Hockey League: Jean Pronovost, who played fourteen seasons primarily with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Marcel Pronovost, who twenty-one seasons primarily with the Detroit Red Wings.
• Claude made his National Hockey League debut when he was loaned by the Canadiens to Boston. In return, he shut out the Canadiens, 2-0, on January 14, 1956.
