FIRSTS:

Kevin made his National Hockey League debut on January 6, 2011, at Rexall Place in Edmonton. With Dwayne Roloson traded and Rick DiPietro injured, Poulin was backing up Nathan Lawson in Edmonton against the Oilers. When the Oilers scored twice on their first three shots, Poulin entered the contest and was flawless, stopping all 19 shots faced. Unfortunately, the Islanders halved the deficit but could get no further, falling by a 2-1 margin.
