DID YOU KNOW?
- The Toronto Maple Leafs signed McLachlan after scout Johnny Bower gave his recommendation.
- McLachlan had two appearances with the Maple Leafs; the first in relief of Bruce Gamble against
Boston. His first start, in Montreal against the Canadiens, was a disaster - McLachlan allowed three goals in the first period and
was replaced by Gamble. Unfortunately for McLachlan, he never received another chance to prove himself in the NHL.
