• Brian made his National Hockey League debut on February 4, 2012, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, as Foster's Florida Panthers travelled to face crossstate rival Tampa Bay. Backing up Scott Clemmensen, Foster was inserted into the game after the starter allowed five goals on 25 shots. Foster played the remainder of the second period, making one save and allowing zero goals, before Clemmensen reentered the game to start the final stanza. Ultimately, the Panthers would fall to the Lightning, 6-3, as Martin St. Louis recorded a hat trick in his 900th National Hockey League game.
