STRENGTHS: Covers a lot of net, using a combination of style and reflexes. Lightning-quick glove hand. Eager to learn.

WEAKNESSES: Vulnerable to high shots, especially near the corners.

"Outstanding season for Brochu in 1999-2000, the type that should earn him recognition or, at the very least, an opportunity at the NHL level. Most notably, he was awarded AHL MVP honors thanks to a league-leading 32 wins and a stingy 2.18 GAA. Was also named MVP at the league's all-star game.
