- Marc made his National Hockey League debut on February 27, 1984, when the Winnipeg Jets hosted the Edmonton Oilers. Marc had thirty-seven saves, but lost in overtime by a 6-5 score when Dave Hunter scored for the Oilers.

- Marc was recruited to attend the University of Wisconsin after coach Bob Johnson was impressed by the young netminder at his off-season hockey school in Madison.
- On March 28, 1981, Marc made thirty saves to lead his hometown University of Wisconsin to a 6-3 win over the University of Minnesota.
- On April 14, 1985, Marc was in net when the Winnipeg Jets won their first playoff series in the National Hockey League, at Calgary against the Flames.
- After his retirement from professional hockey in 1987, Marc returned to his hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, and became a firefighter.
