• On March 23, 1952, Lorne was the goaltender who allowed three goals to Chicago right wing Bill Mosienko in a span of just twenty-one seconds (a National Hockey League record). With both the Rangers and Black Hawks eliminated from playoff contention, the Rangers started Anderson, who was appearing in just his third National Hockey League game. Early in the third period, with the Rangers dominating in every aspect (and leading 6-2), Mosienko scored at 6:09 of the period, 6:20 of the period and 6:30 of the period to draw within 6-5. Fired up by the record scoring performance, the Black Hawks overtook the Rangers to win, 7-6. It would be Anderson's final NHL game.
