- On February 8, 1998, Annica was the goaltender who allowed the first goal in the history of women's Olympic ice hockey. The goal was scored by Finland's Petra Vaarakallio eight minutes and 35 seconds into their 6-0 victory over Ahlen's Team Sweden.
- Annica retired following the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, but returned to the Swedish National Team in 2000-01. On her return: "It's a second life. I'm one of the oldest ones now. I have to take more responsibility now and lead the young team in the right direction." (NBC Winter Olympics web site, February 2002)
